Føgra is a graphic artist, a graphic designer, a painter & an illustrator.
She was born in Riga / Latvia during Soviet occupation, to jazz musicians. Her work is largely influenced by a classical music education that she received there. In her teens she immigrated to Israel where she got a BA in Graphic Arts. Føgra attributes her move to New York, as a young adult, to the musician Sting who, as she puts it, infected her with harmonies and pulled her right out of the tuneless world of her past.
Føgra is an artist behind Penguin Random House’s #1 Amazon and New York Times bestseller “Beyond Order” that is sprinkled with classical fairytale-like imagery. She’s also a graphic designer behind “Best of Bob Marley” album cover art for Tuff Gong, a record label founded by Bob Marley in 1970. Her poster collection was used by “The Grand Tour – Viva la Trois” episode / Prime UK.

In ‘24 “Føgra – a Book of Visual Art” book won Best-of-Best title from Design Masterprize. Partnered with Guggenheim Bilbao & Architecture Masterprize, Design Masterprize recognized remarkable achievements of Føgra’s as a creator. Best-of-Best title and prestigious accolade and signifies unparalleled excellence in design.
Additionally, she received Gold from Graphis ’26 for her poster work, which will be shown alongside the official posters for the television shows such as “The Agency” and “Squid Games.” Graphis is a chronicler of creative excellence spanning eight decades since their founding in Switzerland on 1944.
